I was been prescribed terazosin 3 months ago. I am female and have high blood pressure. I seemed to have a lot of side effects ie: headache, swollen feet and legs, dizziness and now I am having problems with nausea and a belly ache. Could this be from the terazosin?
Dear as mentioned by you all these symptoms can be caused by terazocin . And I would like to inform you that we have better drugs than this for blood pressure control . So this should be stopped as soon as possible as it is causing side effects in you.you should discuss about all this with your physician he will definitely stop this.this drug is never prescribed as first line therapy for hypertension . Hope this will help.apart from this some life style modifications such as brisk walk for 30 minutes and maintaining BMI less than 25 , salt and saturated fat restricted diet that is rich in vegetables and fruits , drink alcohol in moderation that is less than 1 drink per day. All these will help you in maintaining blood pressure . Hope this will help.
