The tenderness and pain would be there for some time. If I were your doctor, after ruling out any fracture clinically, I would advise you for an anti inflammatory drug along with a proton pump inhibitor drug, and a pressure bandage over the hematoma site. Also you should give proper rest to the part, and try to keep it elevated on bed over a pillow whenever you are lying down.
