hi, i am hypertensive for the past 15 years and my age is 40 years i had an increase in BP 2year ago it was 200/100 and was admitted to the hospital and was treated for the same with medication selomax 50/5 twice a day, minipress xl 2.5 once a day and telma H 40 once a day and tonact 20mg after taking this medication for 2 year and my BP is under control 120/78 but i felt my libido has come down i consulted the doctor recently and told him the same he changed my prescription to amlong 5 mg once, and met xl 25 mg once and minipress xl 2.5 and telma h 40 once daily. Now my question is can i take amlong and MET together in the morning will there be any side effect are all these medication right for me. Pls suggest
hi, you can take the both at the same time. Metoprolol is a beta blocker which can reduce your libido. It is also a poor drug for hypertension. so you can ask your doctor to replace metoprolol with other agents or let him stop it with due observation. you will improve. all the best.
