Hi,I am Neethu Vipin (Dietitian & Nutritionist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I m 31 years old, and my height is just 4 9. I want to grow taller at least 3 inches. I tried many pills, and powders it did not work. Kindly suggest me some pills that helps me to grow tall. I have sleeping problem. I will not get sleep till 2:00 midnight. Is there any solution for this?
I am sorry to say but a person's height cannot increase once his/her skeletal growth stops, which occurs at about 18-20 years of age. Once this age is passed, it is impossible to increase one's height. No medicines are effective. The ones you may have come across contain hormones which are likely to cause more harm than benefit. Kindly don't take them.
For your sleep problem, avoid sleeping in the day time if you sleep. Avoid tea/coffee totally. Ensure you have your lights off and your bed is clean. Wake up early in the morning and don't sleep throughout the day. Try yoga and meditation. If none of these work, then medicines may be given under guidance of a psychiatrist.
Hope your queries are answered. Feel free to ask if you have any doubts.
Wish you good health.
With regards, Dr. Sridhar
