I get bad migraines at least 1 a fortnight for the last 10 years ive self medicated with codeine. Know u need a perscription for it when i went to my doctor the prescribed me imigran i want to know if these are as affective as codeine for knocking me out and reducing the pain?

In that case Imigran would be a much more appropriate medication to treat your migraine attacks, the triptan class of medications to which it belongs are the most suitable for that purpose, more effective than codeine.
