Suggest Medication For Mild Spring Cold And Sore Throat
I have a 4 year old who has a a fairly mild "spring" cold and sore throat but also complains of tummy ache around her belly button, she looks a bit pale and is off her food but seems otherwise OK - should i go to the doctor, this has been for 5 days so far?
Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic. I can understand your daughter's situation and problem. Possibility of viral Upper respiratory tract infection is more in her case. So ask her to drink plenty of fluids orally. Give her antihistamines and anti inflammatory drugs. Ask her to do warm water gargles 5-6 times a day. Don't give oily and spicy food to her. Try all these for 2-3 days and if she is not improving than consult pediatrician and get done clinical examination and blood reports to rule out bacterial infection. Hope I have solved your query. Wishing good health to your daughter. Thanks.
