Hi, earlier today my dog was shaking and swung his head directly into mine in the temple/ear area. It was a surprisingly hard blow and hurt badly for several minutes afterwards. I was immediately nauseaous and kind of out of it. I couldn t tell quite where the pain was coming from, there was no knot on my temple or head but after a while I could tell I had a lot of ear pain. It sort of feels like an earache with a warmth and pressure on it. There is also soreness behind my ear when touched as well. Is there any treatment for this? Should I go to the doctor? Since it was my temple area I was initially worried about a minor concussion but I seem to be fine now aside from ear pain.
please do visit your doctor as it is likely that your ear has been injured. The pressure on the temporal area can push the jaw joint in the ear as it is just located in front of it.This will cause a lot of pain and can swelling of the area. Please do not use any ear drops and meet your ent doctor as soon as possible. Thanks
