Suggest Medication For Pain In The Left Side Of The Rib Cage

My rib cage hurts!! It s the left side upper ribs just before where the cage v s I recently gained a bit of weight after I quit smoking no organs hurt just the rib itself the bone is tender to touch had x rays done and ultra sound doctor says nothing wrong but the pain will not go away

Thanks for your question on HCM.
In my opinion you should get done ECG first to rule out cardiac cause, as you are having left sided chest pain.
If this is normal than it is most likely due to musculoskeletal pain.
So try to follow these
1. Avoid heavy weight lifting.
2. Avoid movements causing pain.
3. Avoid bad postures during sleep.
4. Take good painkillers and muscle relaxant.
5. Wear chest belt for minimal mobilization of affected part.
6. Apply warm water during bath to pain area.
