Hello thanks for asking from HCM for your health related queries

I can understand your concern. Premature ejaculation occurs in most of individuals due to anxiety and poor knowledge during intercourse. Relief of anxiety in most of individuals result in improvement in symptoms. Ashwagandha is also an anti anxiety herbal supplement in low doses and thus helps in some individuals. But still your ejaculation time is not improving. In such case I'd advise you to try to distract yourself during sexual intercourse. Application of lignocaine jelly on tip of penis before intercourse reduces the sensitivity and thus prolongs the ejaculation time. You can try this after consultation of a doctor.

If ejaculation time doesn't improve even after that then visit a psychiatrist for help. Medicines like SSRIs are commonly used for premature ejaculation. Medicines as Escitalopram, Sertraline, Paroxetine etc are used commonly. Dapoxetine is a newer SSRI drug and the drug can even be used on SOS basis for premature ejaculation. SSRIs cause delayed ejaculation and thus help in premature ejaculation. Please consult a psychiatrist for evaluation of your symptoms and for prescription of these drugs.

Thanks, Hope this helps you. Take care

Dear service user
Thank you for contacting Healthcaremagic.
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
There is no 'specific' time period defined for ejaculatory delay. It greatly varies from person to person.
When clients with similar problems approach me, I recommend them a behavior exercise called start-stop technique. The man starts masturbation and stops just prior to orgasmic inevitability. He allows arousal level to decline and re-stimulates. One should continue this 'start-stop' sequence for about 15 minutes. Later on he may fantasize about partner during the start-stop hence learns to be in the situation when he actually will confront female partner.
In this method, man learns to identify or feel the point of ejaculatory inevitability (The point of NO RETURN) and gains voluntary control of ejaculation gradually over a period of time.
Female on top position also helps to delay ejaculation.
I recommend medicines like Paroxetine 20 mg to be taken 4 hours before coitus. It often helps male to delay climax. These medicines should be taken under medical supervision.
Hope, I have answered your question properly. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help. Wish you good health.
