Hello Dear,
I have gone though your query, I will try to give my best possible advice.
As you have mentioned your condition, it seems that the condition cheek is not very good. Depending upon the actual condition, it may or may not need to be sutured (stitched). so I will advice you to get an appointment with the
dentist as soon as possible as its already been 3 days to your
injury and yes there are chances to get it infected.
Here I am advising few things which will fasten the healing process.
• Avoid hot and spicy food and beverages for 4-5 days.
• Eat more green leafy vegetables.
• Use Betadene/Viodine/Betakind (contains
povidone iodine solution) easily available in medical stores, twice daily.
• You can take over the counter pain killer tablet for example
Ibuprofen tablet thrice daily for 2-3 days till you get your appointment with the dentist.
• you can take Tresmox-CV 625/ Megamox-CV 625/
Augmentin 625 mg tablets twice daily for 3-5 days.
• TAKE MEDICINES ONLY IF NOT ALLERGIC TO THEM AND OTHERWISE HEALTHY.
• Apply topical gel like Metrogyl-Dg Forte or Rexidine-M gel (commonly
chlorhexidine and
metronidazole combination) on the affected area of the gums. Use it thrice daily for 4-5 days.
Hope this will help you. If there is any more query or question regarding this in your mind, you are free to ask any time.
Take Care
Regards
