Suggest Medication For Severe Migraines With A History Of Chiari Malformation?
I have a long history of chiari malformation, pots, narcolepsy and severe migraines. I had decompression.depression surgery with removal of the tonsils 1 yr ago today. I ve been having issues since October. In and b out of the hospital. I was hospitalized 2 wks ago for severe headaches. and they preformed a xray guided lumbar puncture . After 5 failed attempts with me in thelateral decubitus position. Once on the table they said the pressure was low and elevated the table & me in a almost a 70 degree elevation to obtain fluid. They did an opening pressure recording of 12. I believe this is incorrect bc of the upright position. He pulled the needle out and I felt a gush. I immediately started having severe pIn and pressure in my back and neck with severe nausea. They released me staying I was just having a migraine. I know that was wrong. I couldn t even hold my head up without throwing up. The worst pain ever. I Was taken by ambulance to the er at another hospital. They said I was having low cost pressure headache and a bloodpatch was preformed. I m still having problems do u find this to be incorrect reading as well? Now I can t find a dr that will help me bc I had brain surgery somewhere else and my neurosurgeon is over 5 hrs away. I need help desperately. Any advice?
