Suggest Medication For Sharp Pain Behind Knee Due To Presence Of Fluid
Had sharp pain behind knee, went to dr he said had fluid behind knee, no X-ray or Mri done, he put me on methylprednisolone 3 days now. Last night when I tried to get into bed(somewhat high off ground) had to push with left leg to get on mattress, heard pop and SHARP pain lasted about 45 sec. Still hurts not extreme but when try to bend and straighten sharp immediate pain again but doesn t last the seconds afterward

After going through your query I came to know that you may be having bakers cyst as your doctor said fluid behind the knee.You can take analgesic such as ibuprofen for pain relief. It can be confirmed by MRI. Its treatment is aspiration with wide bore needle and local triamcilone injection in it to prevent recurrence.You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it.
