Hello
welcome to health care magic.
I really appreciate your concern.

Looking at your description it might be related to Aerophagia (swallowing of air), dyspepsia, acid peptic disease excess use of carbonated drinks, smoking and alcohol consumption.

Intolerance and distaste to food might be related to metronidazole.

5 weeks course of antibiotics is quite a long course which is not prescibed generally.

In my opinion you need not to take it any longer, I would advise you to take antiacidity medicines like pantoprazole or ranitidine group of drugs for 3 to 5 days.

Meanwhile you should take plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables,
Avoid fatty fried and spicy food and carbonated and caffeinated drinks.
multivitamin and calcium supplements is advisable.

If it doesn't help than I would advise you to consult a gastroenterologist for ultrasound and blood investigation for serum amylase test, liver function test, blood sugar and ultrasound or endoscopy if need be.

Hope I could answer your question, please feel free to ask for follow up question, I will be happy to help you.
Best wishes
