i have sleep epilepsy and in 1998 was given epilim 300mg twice a day i have been back to the gp as i have had spellsof stopping breathing nothing has been done however i collapsed in august all brain scans clear my gp then put me on 500mg twice a day and i must say i have never felt better it seems that 300mg is for a child of 20kg in weight
Epilim is a great medication for epilepsy. The dose that you have been taking is low. The new dose is alright, as long as it maintains your seizures under control.
I would just recommend checking periodically every 3 to 6 months, liver function tests valproate plasma levels.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
