Suggest Medication For Sleeping Problems During Pregnancy

i am 31 weeks pregnant with twins and have been having alot of trouble sleeping. i have tried diclegis and benadryl, but diclegis really did nothing, and the benadryl seems to make me restless. my OB prescribed klonopin, but i read it is a category D drug. should i really be taking this? is there a better alternative?

Sleeping problems during pregnancy are indeed commonly encountered by women in this state, but unless it is considered a serious chemical imbalance medications are not prescribed as all these medications can cross the placenta and reach the growing fetus. I would request you to try more conventional methods like exercise, meditation, specific meal timings, practice techniques that promote sleep, etc; instead of going ahead with medications like klonopin.
