Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a sore on my buttocks that I've had for quite a few months - have tried different ointments and am now putting a bactroban ointment on it, cover it with a clean bandage. But, it just won't seem to heal. It is very difficult as my job is mostly sitting on my butt most of the day.
The most common reason is pressure effect giving soreness. After eliminating the excess pressure, other cause of non-healing as diabetes or else should consider. We recommend additional intake of antibiotics, anti-inflammatory agents with trace elements to recover faster.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
