Suggest Medication For Swelling And Pain Of Knee Due To An Injury

I recently injured my knee while skiing. The injury happened when my ski was caught in the snow causing my lower right leg to rotate clockwise causing three pops in my knee. Swelling came increased for four hours after the injury and has since subsided over the next three days. I can walk on the injured knee, but cannot propel myself forward with it. I have good motion with little pain, but I cannot fully straighten my leg no matter how hard I try. The knee is really unstable. There is pain to the touch on the outside in the middle of the joint. Everything I have read this is indicative of an injury to the meniscus. Is this correct and is there any harm in seeing if it will heal on it’s own over a period of time?
