Suggest Medication For V Shaped Tear On The Upper Lip After Injury.
my 4 year old fell and tore the inner upper lip in a v-shape from where the end of that skinny piece of membrame connects your lip to your gum. the v-shaped tear is from where that piece used to be to the top of his inner upper lip. it's not a deep tear but about an inch across.
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain v shaped tear after injury to inner side of upper lip seems to be due to tear of mucosa and in case if there is only tear and if the mucosa is not hanging over then you need not to worry as gradually the healing will take place..
As the blood supply inside the mouth is profuse healing also takes place faster..
As you explained that the tear is not deep then you need not to get the stitches placed and let the area heal gradually..
You can apply antibiotic ointment over it as well as make him gargle with antiseptic mouthwash for preventing infection. If there is pain anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen can be taken.. Feed him with a soft diet and avoid hard and spicy foods..
Hope this information helps.
