Suggest Medication To Stop Passing Motion During Severe Cough
Hello Dr,My Mother in law who crossed her 45+ , for past two weeks she is having very high cough in the nights and when she coughing some time she motioned (De sentry). could you please let me know the reason of it? and what could be the best approach to diagnose this
Severe coughing and such strain can cause too much raised intra-abdominal pressure which in turn can cause leakage of urine and stool, particularly in elderly patients and females in particular.
Hence, the first thing to do is to stop coughing for which she should consult a Doctor or an ENT Surgeon for clinical evaluation, have investigations, ENT Endoscopy and x-ray of the chest to get the exact cause and get treated to stop coughing and her problems will be over.
Also, needed is to consult a General Surgeon for per-rectal digital examination to see for the tone of anal sphincter and have further studies if required for getting any problem and get treated accordingly. This way a proper diagnosis and management can be done.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. T Chandrakant
