Dermatologist 's  Response
Hello Nirali,
yes alopecia areata is regionally known as undari. treatment depends on the area of involvement and the severity of the problem. in most cases, especially if the patch is small, the condition may spontaneously resolve. You can visit your local skin specialist who would evaluate the involvement and suggest treatment accordingly. Treatment for the same in a small child is in form of topical minoxidil or a topical steroid cream both of which are prescription medicines.
