Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

From your description it seems more likely for it to be a simple viral infection which usually are transitory and improve by themselves gradually. So I wouldn't recommend any medicine other than Ibuprofen for headaches and fever as needed, vitamin C and drinking plenty of liquids. If fever persists over 4-5 days or if there are other new signs such as intense increasing headache, confusion or changes in behavior, seizures would I require medical attention to consider other diagnoses or treatments.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
