Hi,

If these headaches are in the presence of nausea, vomiting, extreme sensitivity to light and sounds then, you may be suffering from a migraine type of problem for which specific medications from the TRIPTAN FAMILY of drugs could be effective.

If the above symptoms are not present and the headache is just a terrible pain and nothing else then, it could be a headache due to tension, stress, anxiety, or even as a result of another medication's side effect. The best way to determine what this headache can be due to is for you to keep a daily log or diary of your headaches and then, take them to a specialist in headaches or a neurologist to interpret your symptoms.
