Suggest Medications For Stomach Ache Post Consumption Of Sea Food
For the very first time I ate extremely fresh CRAB. My neighbor went to the ocean last night and caught 11 crabs. He cooked them and we ate them. Like I said, I have never had crab before and I now have a stomach ache from hell. Is this normal? carolmoorelmt@gmaildotcom
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history and understood the concerns. This is not normal to have severe stomach ache after eating sea crabs for the first time. This indicates severe intolerance or reaction to sea food. I would advise you the following in such a situation. Get a consultation of your Doctor or go to ER for clinical evaluation as this can turn into further complications if not attended in time. You will need a symptomatic and supportive treatment. Antihistamine, steroids, intravenous fluids and electrolytes if vomiting and/or loose motions show up. You have to say no to the sea foods particularly crabs and other crustaceans in future to avoid such reactions. Also watch for other foods and beverages that may affect you and stop them altogether.
