AM A DOCTOR I ASKE ONE QUESTION ONE FAMALE PATIENT ASKE WITH ME I LABOURED TWO DAYS AGO NOW THERE DAUGHTER IS DIED AND NO SHE WANT TO STOP MY MILK AND SHE FEEL VERRY PAIN . WHAT ARE THE TREATMENT TO STOP MIK MY EMAIL ADRESS ID YYYY@YYYY
The safest way to suppress lactation is leaving it naturally to get stopped on its own. I advise to use Cabergolineor Dostinex. It is currently the most effective drug taken as a single dose to stop breast milk in mothers who have not been breastfeeding for long.
However Bromocriptine, another medication works by suppression of lactation with estrogen is no longer advised due to its possible side effects and also the dosage used is twice daily. So Cabergoline is advised.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
