Hi welcome to HCM.
The doctor might not have prescribed vicodin to you considering its addictive potential. But having said that its an effective drug for control of pain.In case if you want it for use,a lower starting dose is advised.Do not use vicodin for more than 14 days.If you are prepared to show this drug compliance you can help your doctor to offer you the validated drug prescription of vicodin.Consult a pain specialist for further help.
Thank you
