Hello and thank you for using HCM.I carefully read your question and I understand your concern. You shoud not worry .I'll try to explain you something and give you my opinion.
You should know that cholesterol target levels depends on some factors like your age, other associated rics factors like
hypertension,
diabetes and hereditary history of
high cholesterol.
You are very jung and you suffer from hypertension. This means that you already have a coronary risc factor. This means that is very important to lower your cholesterol.
Your optimal cholesterol levels should be below 180 mg / dl and
ldl cholesterol below 100 mg / dl .
To lower your cholesterol you should have a healthy diet. You should avoid fast food, pizzas, white bread, sweeties.
You should have regullar physical activity nearly 40 minutes every day.
As you explain, you already have a healthy diet and you do regular physical activity
.
So, in my opinion your case might be a familiar
dyslipidemia. This means that you might have a genetic problem that is responsible for this high levels of cholesterol.
In this cases it is mandatory to treat the problem medicaly.
If you were a patient in my clinic I would start a statine class medication and after one month I would repeat the blood analyze to decide the right dosage for you for the future.
Hope I was helpfull.
Best regards.
