Suggest Medicines For Manic Depression
Hi...am taking 75mgs of Effexor, .5 of Cloneazepam and sublinox. Diagnosed with manic depression, Possible by polar. Want to have ect done, as symptoms get worse, on Monday I will be either prescribed with Saphris or latuda. Not looking foreward to trying new cocktails, been there done it. I have also investigated ect, including interviews with those that have had it done. It was all positive with wonderful results. My question...which of these, through your experiences, have you seen more positive with, med S or med L Sandra

You are taking 75 mg of Venlafaxine, 0.5 mg Clonazepam and Zolpidem. You have diagnosed with bipolar depression most probably. You are not getting relief and intact symptoms are getting worse. You want to go for ECT.
Saphris is Asenapin and Latuda is Lurasidone. Both are anti-psychotic drugs and and are almost equally efficacious. They are new drugs and can help in improving symptoms and can prove positive.
ECT is good option, and this is a nice modality of treatment in resistant cases. Consult your psychiatrist for proper choice of treatment.
