Suggest Methods To Control High BP

Sir, I am suffering from High BP Problem last 22 years and at present taking High BP medicine Eritel LN 40Mg 30-40 days, Now feeling back ache last 10 days. Kindly prescribe me another suitable medicine if it is side effect. Normally BP range stand: 140/100 sometime increase to 160/120.With Best Regards,Suresh0000

Hi Suresh. Backache is not a common side effect of the drug you are taking. If you were my patient, my approach would be two fold - one to look for other causes of backache at your age and if I can not find any obvious cause, to rule out the side effect of the drug. To do that, I'd ask you to go back to the drugs you were taking before starting the new drug eritel and see if the backache disappears.

As such, your BP is on the higher side and I would like to increase the dose/add another drug, depending on your age and other co-morbidities. Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
