Diabetologist 's  Response
Hi, welcome to our site. I am Dr Saumya Mittal, MD.

Read your query. That is a very significant question and i appreciate your problem. I will try my best to answer your query

The regime suggested seems to be a good one. There are too many medicines, so you need to be careful that the doses are not confused. The medicines are common medicines of diabetes control and as such there is no major side effects.

However there have been reports of some pancreatic cancer with medicine in brand starvog. These have been refuted, but I personally prefer to avoid them as far as possible and give them only when needed.

There is no effect on bladder. Kidneys they all have some effect, but the effect of uncontrolled sugars is worse. So if you really want to avoid side effects of the tablets on kidneys, the only option worth considering is insulin.

Personally I would have simplified the therapy by giving a combination tablet. So instead of 6 tablets, you can do with 3.

I will suggest the test Lipid profile, if not already done

I hope this helps you. Inform the reports mentioned above/if any other so I can be of help further.

I have given you the answer to the maximum considering the information provided. The results of the tests could further enhance my answer to you.

Please do understand that some details could be extracted from a detailed history and examination.

Please feel free to ask another query. I would be glad to help you. Looking forward to your return query with the details asked so that I can help you further.
