Hello. Thanks for writing to us at healthcaremagic
You should never use hhlite cream for more than 1 -2 months and never without the prescription of a
dermatologist because it can cause untoward side effects on your skin if used longer than recommended. hhlite cream contains a potent
steroid e.g
Mometasone, which should not be used on face for longer than 3-4 weeks. Common side effects with preparation such as this are:
acne, skin thinning and
photosensitivity, A dermatologist is experienced to notice any of these side effects if they are appearing, at an early stage, and therefore may either stop or substitute it with an alternative.
Coming back to your query, I would suggest you to use a broad spectrum sunscreen, that which offers both UVB as well as UV A protection throughout the day. A broad spectrum sunscreen should have a minimum spf of 30 +.
If you were my patients I would have suggested you a skin lightening cream e.g containing ingredients like
kojic acid,
glycolic acid, arbutin etc. The creams containing these active ingredients are available on prescription. These ingredients are safer even if used for a longer duration unlike hhlite.
I would suggest that you seek an appointment with a dermatologist in your region for a prescription.
You may aso opt for a few sessions of chemical peeling from your dermatologist
