Sir, I believe there is something that may help. A dosage of 10.9 - 24 g of the maca vegetable, according to examine.com (my supplement research site),eaten with food has significant effects on increasing libido. No vitamin or mineral that I know of will boost sex drive.
The mechanism involved is independent of any hormone (does not raise
testosterone,etc).
It comes in a powder form, but I cannot vouch for the effectiveness of this.
Beyond maca, I have found no reliable herbs, even goatweed does not work despite folklore.
Possible mechanism:
Dording CM, et al A double-blind, randomized, pilot dose-finding study of maca root (L. meyenii) for the management of SSRI-induced
sexual dysfunction . CNS Neurosci Ther. (2008) This reference makes me think you should not take this with any antidepressant medication.
Good luck. Regards, Kathryn Shattler, MS,RDN
