Suggest Natural Method For Estrogen Replacement

I am interested in replacing estrogen naturally. I AM allergic to Soy & WhEAT. I SEE FRoM SOME OF THE MATERIAL THAT I HAVE READ THAT THESE 2 ITEMS ARE USUALLY IN THE NATURAL ESTROGEN PILLS. I HAVE ALLOT OF ALLERGIES AND GET SHOTS EVERY 27 DAYS FOR ALL OF THEM. ( ONE IN EACH Hip )
I am 86 and I want to keep my skin looking healthy and it is starting to look DRY AND NOT AS GOOD/. I have had every surgery IMAGINABLE SINCE I WAS 25 YEARS OLD. THERE'S NOT MUCH LEFT of me ( most was internal and a bit outside ). I have had numerous cancer surgeries internally and also on my skin ( some on my face ).. I cannot take the sun. BUT I AM STILL FAIRLY HEALTHY. I WANT TO KEEP MY FACE LOOKING AS YOUNG AS I CAN AS LONG AS I LIVE. I READ THAT THE LOSS OF ESTROGEN HAS ALOT TO DO WITH IT. I DO NOT HAVE ALLOT OF WRINKLES YET.
I WANT TO REPLACE THE WOMAN'S ESTROGEN NATURALLY, IF I CAN. PEOPLE THINK I AM ABOUT 55. yeah !! . I HAVE ALWAYS TAKEN VERY GOOD CARE OF MY SKIN. i WAS TAUGHT BY MY MOM TO CLEANSE MY FACE AND MOiSTEN IT EVER NIGHT, WHiCH I HAVE Always & DONE AND AM STILL DOING.
I used to be a model from age 17 until about 30. Got married, settled down and had kids, but still have pride in myself and want to look my best. I look forward to the info. you can give me. I AM NOT GOOD ON THE CoMPUTER. Hope you can read this chicken scratchin'.
Most Sincerely, Lois E. Ferrier

Some women, especially those not having hot flashes, use topical estrogen to treat the skin. While usually this is used on the vulva and vagina, there are estrogen receptors all over the body, including the skin, and many women use a little on their face to decrease wrinkling and promote fuller more elastic skin. Estradiol cream is expensive but a single tube should last over a year if used that way (off label which means not FDA approved). A weaker estrogen, estriol, can be compounded, may be less expensive, and also help the skin. Either of those require a prescription.
"Natural" estrogen is a marketing term. Both of the estrogen preparations I mentioned above are naturally occurring, made by your own ovaries during the reproductive years, and in smaller amounts throughout your life. Some of the medications are derived from soy, but most come from wild yam plants. There is also an equine (horse derived) estrogen cream on the commercial market-no wheat or soy-made from pregnant mare urine and brand named premarin.
There are "plant-like" estrogens in red clover, soy, wild yam, black cohosh and some other botanicals, but they have been studied and do not have much if any action on the human estrogen receptors. Most of the health food marketed "estrogens" obtainable without a prescription fail to help consumers, but do a good job making money for their manufacturer.
Keep in mind natural is not always best. You brushed your teeth and probably put on deodorant this morning. Tooth decay and body odor are "natural." You have lived beyond the average life expectancy for women only a generation ago. I'm glad you look good and feel well. Be careful of the difference between marketing and medicine. There are no over the counter plant like estrogens that will help decrease wrinkling and increase stretchiness of the skin.
