Suggest Natural Remedy For Afib

Yes, I am a 71 year old female that has been diagnosed with afib and am concerned about taking drugs such as warfarin (Coumadin) which I just read caused Arian Sharon s death, and I would prefer natural treatments-am wondering about Chinese medicine-Wenxin Keli. Can you advise-thank you. Correction-Arial Sharon.

Hi. Noted your question with interest. Your concern about warfarin is justified as the use of warfarin requires careful and regular monitoring of the clotting capacity of blood. However, if that is done, the drug has been used safely over many decades. But, if you are still apprehensive, newer anticoagulants (NOAC) are available now like dabigatran and rivaroxaban, which are safer and do not require rigorous monitoring. However, NOAC are expensive.

I can not claim to be an expert on chinese medicines. Whenever you take medicines that are not substantiated by strict regulatory agencies, you take a risk with your life. Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
