Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
You have mot mentioned the duration of your
pregnancy.
You can terminate the pregnancy up to 9 weeks of gestation by medicines.
WHO has recommended following regimes for the termination of pregnancy up to 9 weeks of gestation.
1. Tablet mifepristone followed after 24 to 48 hours by tablet
misoprostol.
2. Misoprostol only regime: Tab. misoprostol every 3 to 12 hours up to 3 doses.
However, these are prescription medicines and should be taken only by gynecologist's advice. Therefore, I have intentionally not mentioned the doses and routes of administration of these medicines. It is advised that the completeness of
abortion be ascertained by
ultrasonography. These medicines cause developmental abnormalities in the baby. Hence, in case of failure of these medicines to terminate the pregnancy, it should be terminated by the surgical procedure like manual vacuum aspiration (MVA) or so.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Nishikant Shrotri
