Suggest Pain Medications That Can Be Safely Taken When Receiving Doxil Infusions

I am receiving doxil infusions, what is the best over the counter pain medication to take when I have a headache or other pains to avoid interactions. I also have mouth sores, am using baking soda and salt, anything that would be better for these sores?

Hello,

Welcome to HCM and thanks for your query.
Tylenol and Ibuprofen are safe OTC pain relievers that do not interact with Doxil.
Mouth sores are well known side effect of Doxil therapy. However often such sores may occur due to thrush infection also. If simple measures do not relieve the sores it would be good to see a doctor and check for oral thrush which is easily treated with appropriate medicines.
I shall be happy to answer more queries.
Take Care
