Hi, i am 28 years old . from last few months i ma suffering from the problem of fissures. I have contactd doctor they gave some medicines but once the course get completed problem occurs on the same day. it is very painful and i dont want to take any more medicines as it has side effects. pls suggest a permanent solution for this.
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history and understood your concerns. Fissure in ano can be recurrent if the causative factors are not dealt with. Since you have painful recurrent fissures I would advise yo uteh following in such a situation: First of all get a clinical examination for colitis or any such problems that instigate the fissure. Get a proper per-rectal examination and ano-proctoscopy once the pain is under control. Stress and anxiety cause the problems. Avoid foods and beverages that instigate or enhance the problems. Sitz bath twice daily in a tub with warm water. Laxatives to keep stools soft and easy to pass out without anal spasm and further cuts. If all these thing fail then you may need surgery for fissure in the form of Lord's anal dilatation or internal sphicterotomy to get a possible permanent cure.
