Suggest Possible Medication And Diet For Acid Reflux
Hi, I have been having stomach aches for the past few days now. I was told I have acid reflux, and I am taking medicine for that. I have a feeling its the other medicine i take but I am not sure. My stomach seems to hurt when I eat any kind of food. I know I have to eat but I am scared to, please help me.
we usually advise antiacids like Lansoprazole once tablet daily in the morning before meals plus lifestyle modifications. we advise our patient to avoid spicy foods, decrease coffee intake, elevate head end of the bed by about 6 inches of possible and have small but frequent meals.
It is also advised not to sleep or lie down directly after meals and avoid smoking. If your symptoms don't respond, you may consult your doctor to look for H.pylori and other causes.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Muhammad Zahir Shah, Internal Medicine Specialist
