Suggest Precautionary Measures To Be Taken When Allergic To Sulfa Drugs

My doctor order chlorthalid 50mg. I do have reactions to sulfa drugs (swelling, itching, thick tongue). I also sometimes take supplements like: vitamin D, co Q-10, Multi B, and even Chromium. What indications should I look for in connection with my allergy to sulfa drugs? and Should I change any of my supplement routine?

Hi, I have seen many patients who has allergic to sulpha group if drugs. There is no such precautions or indications, if u are allergic to sulpha drugs then u must not use it and always tell your doctor about this allergy so he would not prescribe u.There are many alternative drugs available in market safer and more effective than sulpha.Taking vitamin suplliments with this allergy won't create any problem as both have no connection
