Suggest Proper Dosage Of Ovral-L
Hi, I had a delayed periods for last 2 months. delay by 7-8 days each time. Today is my third day of period, Doctor suggested to take Ovral-L starting from 5th day to bring my periods back on track. Shall i take it for 21 days starting day after tomorrow?

Ovral L contains estrogen and progesterone which are naturally occurring hormones in the body that controls the menstrual cycles in females. It acts as contraceptive that means prevent conception by preventing ovulation, changing the cervical secretion making it unfavorable for sperm motility and uterine endometrial development.
Ovral L also makes the cycles regular, decreases the amount of bleed during each menstruation and also the painful cramps during the cycles. It should be started on the first day of cycle, continue it for 21 days and off for 7 days. Bleeding or spotting may be seen during the seven days interval. Next schedule should started on the 8th day. It can be started on any Sunday to recall easily. Yes, you can start the tablet on 5th day of your cycle as per yours doctor's advice.
