Suggest Remedies For Crohn's Disease And Swollen Cheeks
My husband has crohn's disease and the inside of his mouth - the cheeks are swollen. His face also looks puffy from the outside. He had canker sores in the back of his mouth but they are gone now. He has been taking forvia vitamins for a few weeks now. His doctor did blood tests and his b12 levels are ok.
You seem to suffer from an intra-oral canker sore with infections causing puffy face. These canker sores mostly are the result of Crohn's disease, and accompanied nutritional deficiencies, over a period. As blood tests seem to be normal for hemoglobin, general oral care with Listerine, multivitamins, fruit juices, a bland diet with high protein intake would resolve your health issues.
Care of Crohn's with symptomatic steroids and immune-modulating and biologic medicines would be needed at expert hands. Other causes with accompanying or independent causes need to be ruled out any verified, before starting final treatment in your case.
Treatment and Do's suggested After consults with oral-surgeon and assessment of your case, follow suggestions to deal with this case accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Mukund Savaskar
