Suggest Remedies For Blood In Cough After Swallowing Chemicals

my granddaughter is 23 years old. she fell at work and cleaning chemicals (she works cleanup at a hog processsing plant) splashed and she swallowed some. they had her rinse her mouth out and the burning finally went away. she was not sent for medical attention. now she is coughing up blood. seems to be quite a bit. she went to dr but they seem to be afraid to touch her. she she be taken to er in bigger hosp.

I can understand your concern.
She is having hemoptysis (blood in sputum, coughing).
She also had exposure to chemicals. So during this exposure, she might have inhaled this chemical in her lungs.
This kind of inhalation lung injury can cause bronchitis and bronchitis is most common cause for hemoptysis.
So better to consult pulmonologist and get done clinical examination of respiratory system.
She will need inhaled bronchodilator and inhaled corticosteroids (ICS) along with anti inflammatory drugs.
Don't worry, she will be alright.
