Suggest Remedies For Bruising And Lump On The My Leg After An Injury
I fell off a stool and hit the outside part of my lower leg. A bit above my ankle bone on the outside part of the foot. It happened 2 weeks ago and I still have a big lump where it hit. My entire outside of my foot became black and blue. Still there a little bit. It doesn t hurt to walk on it but at night it bothers me and makes it hard to sleep. I m 53, 5 2 98 pounds and in great shape. Should I have it looked at or is it just a bruise that will take time for the knot to subside?
This lump is collection of the blood and it is called hematoma. This happens when a muscle get torn and blood get collected in that part. It is quite common phenomena . I do not think you should be worried about it too much. I would suggest you to do hot water fomentation, avoid standing for long hours and take pain killers like Nimesulide or Voveron. Avoid any massage or rubbing. This blood will get absorbed in short period of time. you can also apply compression bandage.
