Suggest Remedies For Chronic Runny Nose

hi, my kid is 2.4 yrs old. he is getting cold, running nose and cough atleast twice a month(started nursery). our doc suggested to give him montek lc kid and cetzine syrup and echinacin juice in night time for 2 months(he is taking this dosage for the past 40 days). Also i give him kids clara and mocosolven if he has heavy cough. is this right to give him this much medicine?? But inspite of this he is having running nose.. what should i do??

Upper respiratory tract symptoms like running nose,cough are common in school going children,This might be due to viral (via droplet spread in school and overcrowded places),allergic,reduced immunity.If mild little attention is needed as most of the cold goes within 7 days.Initially conservative measures are given in the form of saline nasal drops,antihistamines.Combination of antihistamines can provide little extra benefit,more over side effects can increase due to interactions.I would recommend you to stop clara and cetzine syrup as already montek lc kid carries antihistamines.If cough is there with wheezing probably child needs consultation with pediatric specialist for expert management.
