Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hello thanks for asking from HCM

She has symptoms like crying spells, fear that she will remain alone etc. All medical investigations came normal. At this age such symptoms can develop due to depression or due to cognitive impairment due to age (dementia) or may be due to some psychosis. I would advise you to visit a psychiatrist for making proper diagnosis.

In such symptoms medicines like SSRIs in low doses especially Sertraline, Escitalopram etc can help. For improving her cognition medicines like Donepezil, Memantin can be given to her. Visit a psychiatrist for prescription of these drugs.

Provide her good nutrition and loving support and she should improve.

Thanks, hope this helps you.
