Suggest Remedies For Heart Burn And Stomach Burning
I think my boyfriend may have an ulcer. He often gets heart burn but last night he started getting acid reflux. He went to bed not thinking anything about it but when we woke up this morning he had a burning feeling in his stomach. My dad and I both have acid reflux and my dad also has an ulcer and the only difference between our pain is where it is located (my dad s is also in his stomach) What should we do?
* As per my case evaluation, your boyfriend can be having a gastric or duodenal ulcer which may be differing from your case.
Another issue of GERD and other also can be sorted out rather than focusing only on the ulcer possibility.
* Ideally he must get a consultation with an expert gastroenterologist and upper GI endoscopy for the evaluation of stomach and the first part of the duodenum to proceed further.
* He may or may not require the biopsy for H.Pylori infection and best management in accordance to that only. Do continue to use our medical services.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
