Suggest Remedies For Heel Pain In An Elderly Patient
I ve had pain in my heel for several months now . I have bought in soles and do stretching quite often but the pain continues. what is the next step? I m a youthful 69 years old and my calf mucsles dont seem to flex like they use to. any ideas for my self treatment?
The condition which is bothering you is a calcaneal spur.
It is one of the common problems that occur during elderly ages and can be easily diagnosed by an X-Ray. In the mean time I suggest to use footwear with soft and thick soles.
For treating the condition I suggest you take following Ayurvedic medicines with a due discussion with your Ayurvedic Physician.
1. Kaishora Guggulu.
2. Rasnasaptaka Kwatha.
3. Karpuradi Taila is to be applied over the region and given a mild massage. Later this is followed by dipping the foot in hot (Bearable limit) saline water for 10 to 15 minutes.
Start with this regimen and get back to me after 15 days.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Mahesh T.S.,
