Suggest Remedies For High Pitched Ringing And Distorted Hearing

Went target shooting on Sunday afternoon, shot one round forgot earplugs...had very high pitched ringing and fullness in right ear. Fullness is somewhat better, but distorted hearing. Yawning, swallowing just causes noise and some popping but no clearing of sensation. How long will this last and is there anything I should try to do? I have tried holding nose and and blowing out but did nothing but create more pressure in ear until I stopped.

Dear you may be suffering from noise induced hearing defect or insertion of ear plugs repeatedly may lead to push the wax lead to eardrum impaction lead to pain. So you need to consult your ENT specialist he with examine for signs of hearing loss, investigate and treat you accordingly.

Based upon recent research, many ENT doctors now advise using three times a day doses of 2 Aspirin tablets and of 2 Vitamin E capsules for 48 hours after blast noise exposure such as shooting muzzle blast or other explosive sounds. This is thought to help offer some early rescue recovery to the the inner ear with cellular level biochemical recovery from the blast noise and thought to mitigate the lasting damage of loud sound.
