Suggest Remedies For Itching And Flaky Skin Discharge In My Ears
hello doctor....my ears have been torn for several years and i have beening using clip ons to cover them up...but i chose an earring which metal did not agree with me and now it has made it worse ..i have leakages and the skin appears to be falling off you can see the flesh...its also very tender to touch...i also have been itching and stinging me...
Your history clearly indicates reaction to the metal used in earrings. This caused a condition called allergic dermatitis which might have got secondary infection hence the discharge and other symptoms that you have mentioned. I would advise you the following in such a situation: - Remove all the earrings and clip ons - Apply liquid Povidone iodine for control of infection - Antihistamine for controlling the reaction - Consult your doctor for clinical evaluation - To get a prescription based antibiotic and anti-inflammatory medicines
Once the allergy and infection is well settled and there is a gap of few months you can get the cuts stitched. Do not use any metallic things that cause such problem again.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
