Suggest Remedies For Itching Around My Vagina And Buttocks
hello, Since last 3 days, my skin outside the vagina is itching, and if scratched, burns. The labia major is also swollen. Apart from this, my buttocks is also itching but i do not have any discharge from vagina. I researched online, and thought of yeast infection and bought monistat 3 over the counter but still the problem is persistent. Through the monistat medicine, there is some discharge, due to which the itching starts and I am not able to sleep. Could you please help me.
After reading your query it appears to be frictional dermatitis and not a fungal infection. Had it been a fungal infection then it would had resoled by monistat.
I suggest you to do cold water compression for 3-4 times a day. Stay in cool place. Avoid heat, humidity and sweating.
A mild calamine lotion or mild steroid based cram helps in quick relief but do not apply beyond 3 days.
In my patients I give tablet cetrizine for upto 2-3 times per day and a pain killer such as paracetamol helps in resolving pain and irritation.
Take rest for a day for early relief.
All the best.
