Suggest Remedies For Severe Stomach Ache Which Subsides After BM

My husband has been having stomach pain which is slightly relieved by either a bm (which has been diarrhea) or vomiting. On a scale of 1-10 he says it reaches a 9 and then after he uses the restroom he says it takes a little while to return down to a 2-3

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted your history of pain in abdomen related to your husband - On a scale of 1 to 10 he has it 9 and relieved up to 2-3 after passing bowel movements.
This indicates that there is relief with bowel movements and thus can be due to partial bowel obstruction.
This can be diagnosed by Barium contrast studies and colonoscopy. Upper GI Endoscopy and Ultrasonography are to be done to rule out any other associated problems
Clinical evaluation by a General Surgeon and the investigations will lead to a proper diagnosis to get you the correct plan of treatment.
